Social ignores excerpt?

  • The settings for Social don’t allow you to choose the excerpt as something to post to FB:

    How you would like posts to be formatted when broadcasting to Twitter or Facebook?
    Tokens:

    {url} – Example: https://wp.me/p1D6F4-1PY
    {title}
    {content}
    {date} – Example: 2012-10-26 23:40:57
    {author}

    but the preview page shows the excerpt when there is one to show. That’s nice, except on publishing, it just publishes a glob of content to FB anyway.

    Is there a way to fix this? This would be my number one feature request although getting rid of the publishing interstitial page would be high up there too.
