• I’m using your plugin for blog post sharing and while the icon links are appearing as expected, clicking a link produces no result. inspecting the code, it appears that the href attribute for each <a> has no value assigned to it.

Did you give your icons links under question 2 in the plugin?

I did not, because for each link – fb, twitter, linkedin – I would like the visitor to share via the platform. There is no place to provide a link when those options are selected, which leads me to assume the plugin itself will populate the href value for the anchor.

The USM plugin’s functionality has been altered. We do not have the functionality seen on your site https://www.screencast.com/t/sHbX5poR implemented in the plugin.

I haven’t altered the plugin content at all, merely wrapped the “.sfsi_widget” DIV in a collapsing DIV so that the social icons don’t constantly clutter the page. I wouldn’t think that changing the HTML presentation would alter the functionality of the pluging as i’m still using the recommended shortcode – [DISPLAY_ULTIMATE_SOCIAL_ICONS] – to call the plugin contents and haven’t altered the contents of the plugin code in php or javascript. I did try pulling the the .sfsi_widget element out of the collapsing DIV, but it did not solve the problem.

Does it work if you just place the shortcode on the site without such changes?

it does not. perhaps i’m placing the shortcode in the wrong location? i’ve got it inside of the loop after the <?php the_content();?> call…

Ok that depends very much on the theme. Could you please ask your theme creator about it? Our shortcode works, if it doesn’t then there must be an issue with the theme.
