social media buttons

    Hi,

    When working through the Wizard, I get the following message in the right-hand side bar of the Services page:

    The scan found social media buttons or widgets for Instagram on your site, which means the answer should be yes.

    However, my site only features button links to Instagram (plus Facebook and Linked In), and the help tip (when I click the ?) says the following:

    If your website only contains buttons or links to a social media profile on an external page you can answer no.

    This appears to be conflicting advice… Or, does it mean the button links I am using have somehow embedded cookies for Instagram?

  • Hi @wbweb2019,

    I have taken a look at your site and in your case the answer can be no. You do have the social buttons, but they open in a new tab and no cookies from these third parties are placed on your site for this.
    Should they link to a page and/or place on your own site then the answer would be yes.
