Social Media Icons/Links?

    Hi again – sorry if I’m missing where this option is… I want to add the social media icons (ie Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) along with the links to my site (to look like the demo site).

    Is there an option within the customization or do I need some type of plugin?

    Hi Maureen,

    Thank you for your question.

    To create social icons follow the below steps :

    1. Create a menu like any other menu in the admin area of your site under Appearance -> Menus .
    2. Use the correct urls in the menu items, so for twitter it must be twitter.com for facebook it must be facebook.com. Otherwise URLs won’t get recognized and you will get squares without icons.
    3. Set theme location for this menu as “Social Menu”

    In the theme Header and Footer options you can control whether you want to display social icons in the header and footer of site.
