Social Media Icons Not Scaling Down In Size

So I’ve been checking my site on different browsers and different devices to see how it looks. I’ve noticed that my social media icons do not scale down on smaller devices, they just move to the left and stay the same size when everything else on the page reduces in size. If I look on a mobile device, the social media icons take up the entire window.
I’m wondering if this happened because I modified some of the CSS in my child theme stylesheets after digging around on these boards. I wanted to move my social media icons into my nav bar, so I modified sidebar-header.php.
Anyway, I would like to have these icons scale down in size in smaller windows if possible.
