I was wondering how I can change the description of my page when I link it on places such a facebook etc where it gives a thumbnail and brief description of the site.
As currently whenever I link to the site, it shows a image of one of my products and the description of that product instead of the company logo and description of the site.
    I use woocommerce 3.1.2
and wootique 1.6.14 or whatever the latest version is

I believe YOAST SEO may be able to handle this but I’m not sure.

I’ve heard good things about these plugins for Facebook sharing, you may want to give them a try:

    Facebbok Thumb Fixer
    WP Facebook Open Graph Protocol

If you’re looking for Twitter this article has a good tutorial on using Twitter Cards, I think it’s a bit outdated but I’m sure it can provide some value

Already running Yoast, I spent a few hours going over settings and such trying to figure it out. Even fixing up my homepage thumbnail and search snippet details, even made sure this particular product wasn’t selected as a “featured product” but it still shows up as 1 of my products as the linking description and photo for the mainpage when I post the link into things such as facebook or messenger.
That facebook thumbnail fixer conflicts with yoast so had to delete that.

It seems to be something with the “open graph” properties, but I don’t know how to edit things in there. It appears to be using meta tags for the pouch in the image above but I know nothing about how to edit this to fix it up
