We programatically post articles to 2 of our websites. When we save out articles we set a features image.

But when uncanny makes a posts to social media the preview isnt showing.

    1. The preview link was showing the image and intermittently wouldnt
    2. Now every post doesnt seem to show an image

Any suggestion as to whats happening – When testing on Open Graph it shows the correct image

    Hi @dmorgan20 ,

Sorry to hear about the issue.

It would really help if you could send over a screenshot of the recipe with everything expanded, especially so we can see what tokens you’re using and how the image is being set. If you’re using our Pro plugin, maybe you could try adding a delay of a few seconds to the action in case the image isn’t available at the exact moment the post is published (perhaps it’s being added a split second later).

Our team also wondered if you have OG meta tags enabled, which can help social media platforms identify which featured image to use. If you can share the URL of the post that triggered the recipe it would help if we could examine that too, but if you can’t for privacy reasons then we certainly understand.

cardiffnewsonline.com is the URL thats triggering the posts to the social page of: https://www.facebook.com/CardiffNewsOnline

We are using the Pro plugin and we have added a delay to each post of 20 seconds.

OG meta is on, we use Yoast SEO and the social image is set on saving the article. This is actually damaging the brand rapidly and would appreciate assistance on this. We have another site wit hthe Pro plugin with you and noticed that sites also started doing the same today too

    Hi @dmorgan20 ,

Sorry about the delay over the long weekend.

It would still really help to see the recipe details if possible; a screenshot with all details expanded would give us more context. We really need to see what action and tokens you’re using to help with troubleshooting.

If it’s any easier, I know you had a ticket open on our Help Desk more recently, and if you want to share screenshots and details there, that’s fine too.

Hi @dmorgan20 , since it has been over a month since the last update, we’ll go ahead and mark this ticket as closed. Please reach out though if we can help further.
