Social menu

  • Hi,

    I’d like to know how to make the social links in the menu (facebook and instagram icons) open in a new window ? I can’t set this in the social menu settings and i’ve tried to add a “target=”_blank”” attribute in the social menu template (theme editor) but it’s not working ??

    If you can code on your own then you can achieve it via the child theme.

    No i can’t code, i’m not a developer. I only can adjust a few things in additionnal CSS.

    Hi @manonczk,

    You can achieve this, but first remove the Social Profile from Customizing -> Theme Options -> Social. And then in your menu i.e Apperance -> Menu, choose a Custom Links add URL of the social platform, add <i class=”tg-icon-facebook”> in Link Text and then add to menu. You can see an option above saying Screen Options on top of the menu page, click on that and tick the Link Target. And then click on your custom link and tick Open link in a new tab and finally Save Menu.

    I guess this will do the trick.

    P.S for Instagram use <i class=”tg-icon-instagram”></i> in Link Text.

    The links work, but i don’t know why, several icons appear like they’re going crazy ?? , take a look : https://preprod-chamadeetcie.ovh/
