Social Network with multi-vendor marketplace with WordPress

Hi all,

I have decent knowledge of html, css, starting to do some serious learning on php and am using a child theme for WP (zerif lite). Already did some good modifications on my site so far.

My plan is to set-up a simple social network for a special group of users (in the healthy food space) and integrate a marketplace on which users can obtain products from third party vendors.

I appreciate that this is a sophisticated plan but am willing to invest time in it. I looked at various plug-ins that I might need for this, including:

for social network – buddypress or Drupal

for multi-vendor marketplace – WC Vendors or WP Marketplace

Does anyone have experience with these plugins and can provide recommendations that fit to my idea?

Also, are there any special consideration to take into account when working with multiple plug-ins?
