Social preview is wrong

    Here are my current settings in General, for the page: https://i.imgur.com/gpI2tsK.png

    You can see I have a custom Page Title and a custom Meta Description. This, therefore changes what the Social sharing would also pull in.

    But the actual Social “preview” for Facebook is showing it as this: https://i.imgur.com/GQYoJEQ.png

    There are many things wrong with this:

    • What’s the deal with the “All in One SEO” and Date?
    • It’s clearly missing the Featured Image that should be getting pulled into the preview
    • When Facebook shares the “URL”, it doesn’t add the HTTP:// protocol, or the page slug to their own preview… but you’re showing as if they do
    • You are showing the “Old” SEO Page Title from the original settings. But I changed it for this page, yet you still pull in the old version. The new version would be the same as what I typed into the General tab. This is the same case as the description (which is missing from your preview)

    Thanks for reaching out! This is definitely a bug and not the intended behavior for the preview. Our development team is taking a look at that.

    Regarding your points:

    • The “All in One SEO” and date are just part of the preview template, as if you were sharing it on facebook. It’s just an example of a shared site on Facebook.
    • The featured image missing is a bug and something we are working on.
    • You are correct, the https:// scheme should not be here, we will work on removing that.
    • Yes, the SEO title and description are pulling from the wrong place. We are working on getting that fixed as well.
