    Hi
I am using this plugin and configured facebook and gmail accout to login.
But after registering as subscriber social profile image is not coming in users avatar.
Is there any setting to enable this as I checked in plugin page there ia a option to “Display Facebook, Google, Twitter profile picture as avatar”

    Thanks

    Hi @johndoe23292

At our Global Settings > Privacy tab:
    https://nextendweb.com/nextend-social-login-docs/global-settings-privacy/
we have the Store – Avatar option, by default it should be enabled, could you check please if you have that setting enabled?
If you do, then I assume the problem will be caused by that your theme or a third-party plugin may display the avatars in their own way, so basically they won’t use the avatars that we stored.

To confirm this problem, I would suggest a plugin – theme conflict test, which means you should check if the avatars appear ( e.g. in the Users table: /wp-admin/users.php ) if Nextend Social Login is the only enabled plugin and you use a WordPress default theme like Twenty-Twenty. If the avatar appears fine that way, then you should start enabling the plugins one by one or in small groups and check the avatars each time. Once you see the custom avatar, you managed to find the plugin/theme that causes the problem.

If you can not see the avatars appear even if Nextend Social Login is the only enabled plugin and you use a default theme, then please open a support ticket here:
    https://nextendweb.com/contact-us/nextend-social-login-support/?ref=https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/social-profile-image-issue/
and we will check this problem on your site.

    Best regards,
    Laszlo.

    Hi,
I checked the setting. This is correct as you suggest.

Actually I am checking avatar image in user profile setting page. I think Avatar should be here atlest if there is any conflict.

I am using Elementor, ACF Frontend to show it in frontend.

    Hi @johndoe23292

Yes, normally we can display the social avatars there. But in your case, the avatars seem to be overridden with the default ones, since in your screenshot I can see you have some extra options like “Choose from Media Library” and “Rating”.
By default, WordPress doesn’t give such options, so I think you may use a third-party plugin to change the avatars.
If you do, could you disable it and check if the avatars appear there, after you login with social login?

If that fixes the problem, then please let me know the name of the plugin that you use and we will check this problem.

    Best regards,
    Laszlo.

    Yes,
There is a plugin “Simple Local Avatars” That I think can conflict with this.
I will deactivate it and create new account again.
After deactivating avar is not there with the user.

    Yes,
This “Simple Local Avatars” plugin is conflicting.
I have created an account again and it works.

    Thanks for your quick support.

    Hi @johndoe23292

I am glad you managed to find the cause of the problem.
Our weekend support hours are limited, but next week I will check Simple Local Avatars and see if there is a possible solution on our end.

Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience!

    Hi @johndoe23292

I tested the latest version of the “Simple Local Avatars” plugin with Nextend Social Login and it worked fine for me:

    • When I registered a new account with Nextend Social Login, then the social avatar was set as avatar.
    • When I registered with the traditional username and email form of WordPress, and logged in with the traditional login form then the avatar was the default avatar. Once I linked my Google account to my WordPress account, the Google avatar was set as WordPress avatar.

However, if you set a custom avatar over “Simple Local Avatars” then we won’t be able to override that, otherwise, Nextend Social Login would always display the social media avatar, even if the user sets a custom avatar.

So I assume another plugin or a custom code is also necessary for this problem to occur.

Note: meanwhile I checked your site and I can see you have already managed to find another custom avatar plugin which also seems to work fine with the avatars that we store.
