    Hi,

How are the social shares counted. Is this based on the calendar month or a random start date?

I supposedly have reached my (free) limit of 30, but this moth I published 4 articles (shared on 3 sites), so I have used 4*3=12 shares (of my 30 available shares).

If the amount is calculated by a rendom start date I go back to December 20 (as it’s January 20 now) and then I have 8 published articles, so I have used 8*3=24 of my shares. Still not 30.

So, my question is, how are those 30 shares counted. I have scheduled my posts at a regular interval, but sometimes I add one at a later time, or even on the day itself. Are they added to the already plannend number?

    Thanks for your reply!

    Hi @barates

Sorry for the delay here, for some reason my response didn’t post.

The 30 day period is based from today – 30 days. So if you shared 30 times in the past 30 days, you won’t be able to share again until you upgrade.

Additionally, scheduled posts are counted towards this total. So if you scheduled two posts (2*3=6) during the 30-day period you were discussing, that would push you over the limit. I’ve put in a request to have our documentation better explain this.

That said, if you are getting close to the limit, we’d recommend upgrading.

I’ll admit it, I’m still confused. Are these 30 days NON-renewable? As in the 30 days started from the first time I shared under the new rules and after that, that’s it? I share at most 4 times to 4 sites in a month. That is 16, and yet I’m showing only 3 shares left and it is the 7th of Feb.
I must have really missed the notifications of these new rules. I can’t remember seeing anything about it until the clock started ticking.

    Hi @timeshifterspod

It is 30 times over the previous 30 days. Scheduled posts also count towards the total.

If you provide your site URL, we can look into this. If you would like us to do that, please start a new thread per the Forum Welcome guidelines?
