Hi. We have just moved our website from a shared server to a VPS , both with TSOhost. all good except that neither WP-SMTP nor Postie worked. Both coming up with Socket error 111, which I presume means the old server (the mail is still there) is blocking the new server. After a lot of googling I changed WP-SMTP settings from SSL to TLS and all was good. Any suggestions as to what settings I could change in Postie as you don’t seem to have a TLS setting?
    Thanks in anticipation, Elaine

Postie always uses TLS. Likely the port you have configured is blocked for outbound connections. You’d need to talk to your hosting company about getting it opened up.

OK thanks. it’s just that it worked before we moved servers. So we dont really understand why Postie can’t read the emails anymore. And hoped you might have a workround?!

It isn’t about Postie. It is about the server and network configuration.

Hi there. Thanks for your speedy response, as always. We find Postie really useful, and I have made a modest donation. Regards, Elaine
