    Hi,

since we updated the Stripe plugin to 3.3.18 almost all of the Sofort and EPS payments of our customers fail.

The orders/payments stay in state ‘incomplete’ and Stripe shows payment_intent.payment_failed.

We have many checkouts with Sofort, so this really is a big problem.
What can we do to fix this? Please provide help soon!

    Thanks
    Stef

I’ve tried to delete the webhook and create a new one through the plugin.
In Stripe dashboard I can see that the webhook created by the plugin doesn’t use the latest version 2020-08-27 of the Stripe API but version 2020-03-02.
Why that? Maybe that causes the problem? Please fix this issue soon!

    Hi @kreativhuhn,

Why that? Maybe that causes the problem?

No, the API version has nothing to do with Sofort payments failing.

In version 3.3.18, the Sofort payment method was migrated from the Sources API to the PaymentIntent API. It sounds like your webhook might not have been configured to use the payment_intent.succeeded event.

Can you confirm if your webhooks have been failing? That’s what would prevent the payment from completing.

    Kind Regards,

@kreativhuhn in addition to the last reply, can you provide your Stripe account ID? That will allow us to review the logs as well to determine what might be the issue.

You can locate your account ID on the API Settings page of the Stripe plugin.

    Kind regards

    Hi @mrclayton,

maybe deleting the existing webhook and creating a new one solved the problem.
Not sure if payment_intent.succeeded was selected before, but I’ve selected all events now.

I’ll send you the account ID via DM on slack.

    Thanks

    Hi @kreativhuhn,

For future reference, there is a helper button on the API Settings page labeled “Create Webhook” that automates the whole webhook creation process.

I’ll send you the account ID via DM on slack.

If you could send us the account ID via our support email that will ensure we get it.

    Kind Regards,
