    Hi,
We built the site so that sold items will appear under ‘sold items’.
Problem is, after some time, some of the items re-appear in the store, as if unsold.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi @thespittoon,

To help us accurately diagnose what’s happening, do you mind explaining how did you create the sold items process?

Also, send us the link for one of the products that reappeared, it may help us as well.

    We will be waiting.

    Hi Sergio,
One of such products is this (it’s now tagged as sold):
    https://oriental-arms.com/product/fine-whole-silver-abdi-jambiya-dagger-from-hadhramout/

The site was built by a developer that is no longer with us. Each item is labeled manually as sold, because the seller usually negotiates terms, etc. (the system does tag it as ‘on hold’.
Is there any reason why Woo would automatically return items to the inventory?
    Thanks.

    Hello,

Is there any reason why Woo would automatically return items to the inventory?

Can you check if this product has no stock (if stock is managed) or is labeled as out of stock?

The only time that WooCommerce changes inventory is when order status are changed – e.g. a processing or on hold order is canceled.

You can read more about order statuses here: https://woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/#order-statuses

Since your site was build and customized by a developer, you may want to reach out to the previous developer or one of the services on our customizations page to look into the issue.

    Hi,
Stock isn’t managed, but I asked to client to label ‘out of stock’ anyway, from now on.
    As for this:

The only time that WooCommerce changes inventory is when order status are changed – e.g. a processing or on hold order is canceled.

They would put an item on hold, make the sale, cancel the ‘oh hold’ status and then label again as sold. We’ll try and recreate the error.
    Thank you.

    Hi @thespittoon

I understand that ‘out of stock’ was not selected before but will now be used.

They would put an item on hold, make the sale, cancel the ‘oh hold’ status and then label again as sold. We’ll try and recreate the error.

Sounds good! Let us know how it goes.

When the problem occurs again, please share relevant screenshot(s) and the product URL(s) for us to check further.

    Thanks
