• I went through a lot of themes (60+) looking for one that would work for my website and allow me to have specific features I wanted without a lot of custom coding and without having to upgrade. Neve ended up being my best choice. In particular, I wanted a theme that let me set menu colors easily, include an image in the header, control sidebar width, and worked with blocks. It also needed to be free of some of the edge case problems of many themes like properly ensuring menus don’t flow off the right edge of the screen. Neve passed all of those requirements. The only reason it is a 4 is that the header sections that it generates are not friendly to sticky menu plugins. You can make the entire header sticky, but with an image and a menu that is a lot of vertical space. But you can’t get at the individual rows of the header because there are no ID’s on the inner <div>’s and the classes applied are not individually unique on the page which is a must for all of the sticky menu plugins I have tried. This could be an easy thing for the developers to fix if they made some adjustments to the classes used or put IDs on those DIV levels for the three levels of header section. If that were fixed, I would gladly come back and revise this review and raise my score to 5 stars.

  • Hi @edfhinton,

Thank you for using Neve and for taking the time to leave the review.

I’m glad to hear about the positive experience with the theme. I understand your suggestion for the header rows. The sticky header is available as an option in the premium version of the theme, where each header row can be sticky or not as per your preference. This works with the current structure of the header, there aren’t IDs defined in the pro version either.

    Regards,
    Stefan
