• Hi,
I have seen forum posts about how to remove categories, but that is not the issue. I now have lots of 404’s popping up because I removed the category from the URL structure. what is the best way to deal with paginated pages with dozens of missing 404 pages? To keep making new 301 redirects? I could have hundreds of missing links as a result. It does not seem like a practical solution to just keep adding 1 new 301 for every individual 404. Many thanks in advance.

  • Don’t you think WordPress developers must have had a jolly good reason for adding that prefix in the category URL?

    Hi,
I suppose category url serves a purpose when it comes to site content organisation. But when it comes to SEO, it is better to not have categories in all circumstances. I do have subcategories in terms of my menu with a parent and child “martial-arts/mma.”
