    Tim,

Thanks for this plugin. I noted your plugin changes the text strings I’m adjusting across all sites on the network. I also noted that your plugin does not support different translations for different sites on the network. You mentioned in other posts that it could be done, but it may be complex.

Can you point to a guide, or maybe do you have a suggestion for a plugin that would be better suited for this task?

I have a couple of WooCommerce installations. For example, I want to leave the “Add to Cart” button the same on one site, but the other site should change to “Add to Estimate.” This is one of many examples that I’ll need to change.

    Ideas?

It’s WordPress, not my plugin, that dictates all sites share a common languages folder. This is much the same as plugins and themes, which have only one instance each across sites.

Doing anything against the way WordPress is designed to work will be complex.

I answered a question on StackExchange in 2018 about this. See the notes on custom domain paths. Additionally, you’ll have to write a custom loader and/or filter on the default language files that WordPress wants to load. Also, make sure you have the default (system) files installed, or some hooks won’t fire.

Thank you for the StackExchange link. I will give this a shot and maybe edit the files and create the translations with PoEdit.

    Cheers.
