Solution for re-ordering redirections
-
I’ve posted a pull request to Github with an enhancement for showing and changing redirection order. Details. Click the ‘Files Changed’ link to see specific changes and a screenshot. It looks like some fine-tuning will be required and I will probably be posting other changes to that PR, but this is working well for me.
The Github repo has “raw code” which is then run through a build process to create the version which you download from www.ads-software.com. So you don’t want to just download from there.
If you’d like to Beta this update for me and others who are interested, you are welcome to manually copy the few code changes clearly shown at Github, and replace your own source.
You are also welcome to download a zip of my v2.6.5 plus this update. That file will be removed when no longer valid. Updates will be posted to different links. To use that you’ll need to remove your existing plugins/redirection folder to outside of the plugins folder, and replace it with this one, renaming it to ‘redirection’. Do not uninstall Redirection or you’ll lose your data. Just replace the folder. If you get confused, just put back your original redirection folder and it will all work. You may need to re-activate the plugin – if WordPress detects plugin files are missing it will deactivate the plugin.
If you’d rather just follow the discussion and see what John has to say, an Issue thread is here.
Thanks to the folks here who have shown support for this plugin. I’m just another user/consumer like you but your notes here motivated me to try to contribute.
