Solved my dilemma

I had some categories which had numbered posts to be read in a certain order (in theory), other categories that I wanted to put the more topical posts at the top of the list, so this plugin solved that problem.
I did try another plugin that should have done the same but it kept forgetting the order and also the posts weren’t displayed in their categories which was more difficult to visualise the order.
