• First of all, I solved this issue by myself as I was writing this new topic. So I thought I should share it with you in case anyone was thinking in doing the same.

    Dear team,
thank you first for your amazing theme. I’ve been working hard to create a website for my wife, who recently finished her make up studies and it’s my first time with WordPress but your theme is really easy to use and adapt to my necessities.

However, I’m having trouble to do the following:
In the footer section I have her telephone number, next to the whatsapp icon. I did that by changing the Widget Footer 3. I modified the class of the Mobile number to be “fa fa-whatsapp”. The next thing for me would be to make the number clickable in a way that opens whatsapp to send her a message.
The thing is, if I try to put a link, it adds the “tel:” prefix before it, and from a smartphone it makes it only working for the “Phone” app, it doesn’t allow you to open this link with whatsapp.

Could you please guide me on what should I modify to not add the “tel:” prefix in the link option or change it to “whatsapp:

SOLUTION I USED TO AVOID THIS
Instead of using the Mobile phone field to show it in the footer, I used the Website Field.
Then I used the following settings:
    Icon: fa fa-whatsapp
    Title: Contact
URL: https://wa.me/XXXXXXXX (where XXXXXX is your international whole number without any symbol or spaces
URL Text: XXXXXXX (my wife’s number)

I hope it works for you ??
    Thanks again
