SOLVED!! wp-admin blank page after update to 3.0

    Hope this helps someone, as I see a lot of people have posted issues with not being able to login to the Dashboard after upgrading to 3.0. After googling, and finally getting an error code worth something (instead of a blank page or segfault in the apache logs) I finally got this error, after trying to upgrade a pluging (wp-admin/options.php *would* work for me):

    Fatal error: Trying to clone an uncloneable object of class ZipArchive in /home/garlockf/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 584

    This lead me to some more googling, and finally found this post:

    So, once I changed this line in my php.ini file from an On, to an Off, and restarted apache, I was able to see my dashboard:

    ; Enable compatibility mode with Zend Engine 1 (PHP 4.x)
    zend.ze1_compatibility_mode = Off

    Hope this helps someone….
