    Hi friends.
We’re developers from Caracas Venezuela and actually we’re looking for a video hosting solution for a wordpress based LMS (sensei or learndash). We’re actually considering to use JetPack but some info is a little difficult to find so if you can help us by answering these questions it will help us a lot in order to be clear about JetPack capabilities.
1.- JetPack is a video hosting solution, so, can a video be watched by several students at the same time? It’s a kind of streaming solution?
2.- Supposing we’re uploading Hq videos (less than 1gb videos at 720p), how many viewers can be watching the videos at the same time? We’re thinking something between 100 or 200 hundred students per course, maybe more.
3.- Is it possible to have several videos in the LMS solution (one domain name only) as several lessons will have several videos as well? Can videos (different urls) be reproduced in different pages of the LMS, as per example, having multiples lessons or different courses?
4.- Does Jetpack have a built-in video reproducer or do we need to install one?
5.- Is it possible to have live streaming using JetPack (kind of Zoom streaming)?

Thank so much for all the support you can give us. We know is a lot of questions and our english is pretty lame, but we hope you can help us with our inquiries. Regards!

Hi there. Happy to answer these questions for you.

    1) Yes, videos can be watched by multiple people at the same time.

    2) There is no fixed limit on how many people can watch a video at once. 200 or more should be no problem.

    3) I’m not 100% sure what you mean here, but yes, the same video can be added to any number of different posts/lessons/courses.

    4) I’m not sure what you mean by a video reproducer, can you clarify?

    5) Jetpack is not designed for livestreaming, so it depends what you need to do with it. If you just want to play a video during a Zoom call using screen sharing, then yes, that’s no problem.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have further questions.

Hi again! Thank you for you reply, it helps a lot!

Regarding point 4: 4) I’m not sure what you mean by a video reproducer, can you clarify?

I meant if jetpack has its own video player, sometimes I use to write in spanglish ??

One last question, is it possible to hide the video’s url? I mean, there’s a way to keep video files private?

    Again, thank you very much!

    Hi again!

Yes, Jetpack uses its own video player. You can see an example here:

    https://jetpack.com/features/design/video-hosting/

There isn’t a way to keep video urls private. You can disable the sharing interface, but it’s still possible to access the video url directly.
