When using this plugin with Polylang Pro, some of the translations in WordPress admin are cached in the language which is currently selected. From there on, the submenu and admin pages of that particular plugin are in the cached language. Example: Litespeed Cache.

Heya Mark, can you perhaps elaborate a little bit on the user journey to reproduce this?

When you say “currently selected language” do you mean in the Polylang admin toolbar language switcher? I don’t think that switcher affects the admin locale. The admin is always displayed in the locale you chose in your user profile or the site settings. The switcher only filters the content being displayed.

Note that this plugin does not use any caching, so I’m not sure how those admin pages would get cached.

I just did a quick test with the following:

    • Set site language to Dutch, and user locale to use the site default
    • Change Polylang language in the switcher to French or Spanish
    • Everything in the admin is still in Dutch as expected, including the Litespeed Cache admin pages

If this is happening only with Polylang Pro or only with Litespeed Cache, consider reporting any localization issues to them too as it might not necessarily be an issue with this plugin here.

I’m closing this for now since I can’t reproduce. But feel free to reopen or open an issue on GitHub if you have more details and reproduction steps.
