Re-opening the issue, the broken galleries started working for a day but then I started experiencing the same issues and a new one as mentioned by wherepiewhere above. The Facebook Album plugin still works, not sure if you can reverse engineer what they are doing?

    I definitely prefer yours…

Another observation, albums that were working before are still working. Just can’t add anything new (I haven’t changed anything on my Facebook page).

Still a problem here, older albums are working fine, but the FB Vinyl pop-up has stopped picking up the albums.

i think the old images are still working because they are stored in the cache folder of the plugin… but yeh its still not working i cant see any albums from facebook

Hey, sorry. Facebook changed it’s rules. It should work now, but…?you might not like how.

I apologize profusely, and you can read more here.

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for your work on this and the honest write up, many people would have simply implemented the solution and initiated logging without telling anyone.

My embedded albums are now working but the editor panel doesn’t seem to work. Not a huge deal as I can use the shortcode but I wanted to make sure that you were aware.

its still not working MR rjksn ? updated to 1.0.3.. i dont think people mind getting a facebook token, you have to do it for most facebook plugins you come across… infact this is the only one i have seen where you dont have to…

Wherepiewhere: I know most apps do, but I really don’y want to. I created this plugin for use on my work’s client’s sites, I don’t want them to have my FB information stored, or to have to go through hoops to get their items running. It’s hard enough at times having them create a google account for analytics.

These people are my main concern here, I know some people would be fine getting a token, or going through that, and for them there are plenty of plugins (I’m sure) that do this. But, I want/need to avoid that.

That’s the one beauty about OSS, we all solve our own problems and then give the code back to the world at large because WP did that for us. This plugin will never solve everyone’s problems. There are so many variances in FB that it’s almost impossible to know what’s happening without having access. 90% of the problems I see are people using the app for personal profiles. And, there are more configurations in LAMP than are calculable. I try and support this, but truly it’s offered “As Is” and it’s free.

Which album are you having troubles with? Send me a message, on the site above, or…?give me the album # and I will look into it.

forgedphotography.com: thanks for that notice, I didn’t test that since I was pretty beat by the time I had it running. I got most of it fixed this morning, but realized 1/2 way through that the limits (?limit=25) would be broken with this as well. It’s a Get string issue with my .htaccess.

I’ll have an update this weekend that addresses both of these issues.

    Hi Richard,

I understand that you have unfiltered and disorganized issues and requirements coming from everywhere, keep up the great work!

Looks like the popup issue is sorted (at least was for me when I added a post this evening).

One thing I did notice (could be limited to my site), when you click on an image instead of loading the image in the jquery Lightbox wrapper it takes you to the Facebook source (fbcdn.net).

You can see the issue in the last post on my blog: https://www.forgedphotography.com/uncategorized/colorado-red-ford-gt/

Just looking to contribute to your QA/UAT and help where I can. You my friend have given us a horse and I am not looking for teeth :o).

now its working again ??? LOL
