Some Attributes not showing when adding to cart

Hi there,

Can you share a bit on which attributes you’re seeing/not seeing? Also, can you share a direct link to product we should be testing with?

Finally, can you also share a copy of your status report as found under **WooCommerce > Status**?

When adding items to the cart, some of sizing isn’t coming up, ie, product name – no size displayed.

This is one of the many that aren’t working.

It’s becoming really random with the products that are displaying the size attribute and which are not.
Sometimes it shows and other times it doesn’t

@saltandripple thank you for that system status report.

As this seems random which when it happens and what products are impacted, I would recommend checking two things:

Do a full conflict test on your site for both your theme and plugins. We have a guide on how to test for conflicts here:

Second, while doing your conflict testing, I would recommend ensuring that caching is disabled on the site.

Since the conflict tests will impact the look and functionality of your site, you’ll want to do this on a staging site. If you don’t already have a staging site set up, check with your hosting company as many offer this as part of their packages. Otherwise, you can use a free plugin such as WP Staging (https://en-ca.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/) to set one up.

saltandripple….I am having the same problem you are. Everything was working fine until this new woocommerce update was installed. Let me know if you have any success finding/fixing the problem.

Is there a way to reinstall the old version of the woocommerce so that we can get thing working until we determine what is causing the problem?

@philbyjolley you can download previous versions of WooCommerce directly from the open-source project on Github:

That being said, downgrading WooCommerce is not something that is supported. Further, depending on which versions you are switching between it may not even be possible as you aren’t able to downgrade your database.

Trying to downgrade your site will cause more problems, as well as likely end up taking longer than it would to try and found the source of the problem.

Looks like the plugin causing my problem was WP Lightbox 2 ver 3.0.6.2

Glad to hear that you took the time to find the source of the problem @philbyjolley! That’s definitely the best approach.

If you haven’t already, check with the developer of that plugin to see if they have an updated version of their plugin that is compatible with your versions of WordPress and WooCommerce.

I’m still yet to figure out what the problem on my site is ??

I’ve uninstalled all plug ins but woocommerce and still no change.
If also found that the products that aren’t showing attributes are also not showing stock count below the attribute in the product page.

@saltandripple – I’m sorry, I got confused when sending my last reply on who had opened the thread originally.

If you have already disabled ALL plugins, except for WooCommerce, did you also change your theme to the default Twenty Twenty or Storefront theme?

I haven’t changed the theme to the default yet as I’m not sure how to go about that while I have customers on my site daily

I would recommend doing any testing like that on a staging site.

As a general rule, you should perform any changes including updates, or adding/removing plugins or themes on a staging site. This way it gives you a safe place to check for issues before impacting your live site.

If you don’t already have a staging site set up, check with your hosting company as many offer this as part of their packages. Otherwise, you can use a free plugin such as WP Staging to set one up.

Another way to simulate disabling plugins and themes is to use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. Using that plugin you can activate “Troubleshooting” mode, which will switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme (if you have it installed) as well as disable your plugins.
