• Hello.

In 2 wordpress I detected hacked files which I deleted. Currently, every morning, the bot overwrites index.php (WP root directory) by adding a string to the beginning of the file.

The plugins are up to date, the All In One WP Security plugin has been installed for a long time (and set to 360 of 505 points of security). I probably did everything to prevent hacking and still some bot overwrites index.php every morning.
What to do to secure WordPress? Any plugins yet?

  • Deleting those files obviously is not enough. Your site has been infected with malware and the hackers have seemingly added multiple backdoors to make it as hard as possible to regain control of your site.

Carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures and start backing up your site.

To fix the problem temporarily until you get rid of the malware ask your hosting provider to site lock your website. This will make the files and directory read-only
