• First, I would like to start with some positive observations:

    • the plugin author responds quickly on the support forum
    • the application is still better than the official application from WooCommerce

Unfortunately, it also has a lot of flaws. I had (and still have) a lot of problems caused by installing this plugin because there are some compatibility issues on plugins. For many weeks, the plugin has not been able to receive/process order details (Name, address, email, etc.) from customers. Until now, I have had to do it manually. When I asked the support team why this is and how to fix it, I got the answer: some compatibility issues with other plugins on your website (!!!). Of course, I uninstalled other plugins to check if this is true, but unfortunately it did not make the plugin work properly.
Due to the fact that I do not have hundreds of orders on the website, I managed somehow until now by manually entering the data from PayPal.

But recently the plugin stopped working and I got an error: “Expected currency from order api call to be GBP, got EUR. Please ensure you are passing currency=EUR to the sdk url.”
I got an answer that it is caused by……… a conflict with another plugin that changes currency (although I don’t have such a plugin – because I use woocommerce for this purpose – and [Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce] is dedicated to woocommerce).

I ended up having to hire a web developer who used custom code to capture order id and data and the other error was solved by using sdk js.

I understand that the plugin is free, but honestly I would rather pay for it (or for help in fixing it when it doesn’t work properly with woocommerce) and have a fully functional plugin.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our software. We value all feedback and would like to address some points in your review to ensure clarity:

    1. Regarding the currency plugin: Our records show that during your previous support interactions, you confirmed using a third-party currency plugin. We also verified this on your product page. It’s possible there may be some confusion about your site’s configuration, which could be contributing to the issues you’re experiencing.
    2. WooCommerce functionality: By default, WooCommerce supports a single currency. The error message you reported occurs when there’s a discrepancy between the currency at the time of product page loading and when the PayPal order is created. The only way the currency would change is if you have a plugin that’s actively changing the currency.

We appreciate that you’ve been actively seeking support, as evidenced by the five support requests you’ve submitted. Our team has been working to assist you with each inquiry. For reference, here are the support threads:

We always strive to provide the best possible experience for our users. I don’t imagine you would want to continue to use a plugin that you gave a 2 star rating so my recommendation is that you look for another PayPal plugin.

No, I didn’t confirm that I use third-party currency plugin. I confirmed that I use woocommecr – the plugin which your plugin is dedicated to.

I believe you can’t imagine that. Maybe because the official woocommerce plugin for paypal is in my opinion (and many other WP users) even worse. Or maybe because with the help of a hired web developer I managed to overcome this INCOMPATIBILITY issue.

We always strive to provide the best possible experience for our users.?

I deeply believe in it and that’s why I will wait until you can use your experience and improve this plugin.

If you need to use my long experience in using this plugin, you can contact me and try to find a solution to the obvious compatibility problem of this plugin with woocommerce. Of course, all the tickets I opened on the support page are also a source of knowledge about my problems with this plugin. I would rather not have all these incompatibilities issues and be able to give 5 stars and fully enjoy using this plugin – even if it is a paid plugin.

Here is your exact quote, stating you’re using multicurrency.

Here are screenshots of your current site, showing you’re using a multicurrency solution:

    3. Notice the price doesn’t even change, only the currency symbol changes which is a problem in itself. A product should not be the same price in EUR and USD. That points to an obvious issue with how you have things setup on your site.

As you can see, changing the site language results in the currency changing. That’s not part of how WooCommerce works so that functionality is coming from somewhere. If you’re not using a currency plugin please explain how the currency is changing based on the customer’s language settings.

You are absolutely right. I use multicurrency. But as I wrote a few times I use woocommerce for this purpose. This is my third-party plugin. As you know woocommerce is in the name of your plugin. I thought that because of this [Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce] will work smoothly with woocommerce and multicurrency which is part of this plugin (correct me if I’m wrong).

I disabled language translator on my website (+ of course sdk js created by web developer) and this is the result:

The error on the website is not cased by translator plugin.

It does, as evidenced by 70,000+ users and a near perfect rating. However, if you use some 3rd party plugin that causes issues, that doesn’t mean this plugin doesn’t work with WooCommerce.

You created a support request HERE where you confirmed the error was caused by the Checkout Field Manager plugin.

This error is caused by an authentication issue, again not related to this plugin.

I am not sure why you maintain this plugin has problems when there is clear evidence that your issues were the result of a 3rd party plugin.
