Hello whiteindian,
thanks for using MH Magazine lite.
1. how to make thumbnail icons horizontsally not vertically on default
Sorry, unfortunately we don’t know what exactly you mean with this…
2. how to change body colour and font colour not color of backgrounfd document
If you are familiar with CSS, you could add your own custom CSS code to change colors of several elements as you like. A basic tutorial can be found here: Basic CSS Tutorial to add Custom CSS to your WordPress Website.
As an alternative, the premium version of MH Magazine includes several color options to change the color scheme of the theme (see video).
3. mh lite how to make button on the bottom to scroll automatically to the top of the document..
This is available in the premium version of the theme (see theme demo) or you could try to find a plugin for this.
4. On theme preview it shows two categories Lifestyle and Beauty. How to make two or more categories looking like that with separate vertical columns. Where to define it?
Please have a look at the theme documentation, you can create a static front page, assign the widgetized “Homepage” template to your static front page and then place widgets on the front page as you like.
5. How to change a size of thumbnail image and foreground image size seprately. I can set both of them with me own sizes.
If you want to customize the dimensions of the thumbnails, you might want to have a look at this: How to customize image dimensions in WordPress.
In case you simply want to define the visible part of your image that is shown on a thumbnail, you could use a plugin like for example:
Manual Image Crop.1. how to make thumbnail icons horizontsally not vertically on default
Sorry, unfortunately we don’t know what exactly you mean with this.
I think my question has something to do with your answer about creating a static front page.
I mean on default there is vertical align of thumbnails. But when I want to change them to be horizontal? Like on theme preview there are to columns and it seems like horizontal but it is not.
But when I create one column it is shown as vertical only.Unfortunately these questions are quite confusing (it seems there is a misunderstanding…) and we don’t know what you mean with horizontal and vertical thumbnails. However, if you want to create a site as shown in the theme demo, you’ll simply need to create a static front page and then place the widgets as you like, as shown in the theme documentation.
Thank you for your help. I customize my child theme, there ae some major fixes. Then I will make posts.
But there are problems with Plugins. Once I had to disable WP Google Fonts, now I have no idea what about Ultimate Social Media plugin. Is it compatible with MH Lite?

Not sure what you mean with “major fixes” because the theme doesn’t have bugs or errors that need to be fixed. The theme is actively maintained and is working fine without issues for thousands of users since a few years now…
If you check the PHP notice, you’ll see that these notices are related to the plugin, not the theme. You might want to contact the plugin developer in case you need help with the plugin you are using.
We haven’t tested this plugin and can’t tell you anything about it. But the theme does nothing that could prevent your plugin from working properly. Please also keep in mind that plugins can have conflicts with other plugins.
However, if the plugin developer is not willing to look into this, you also could simply use a different plugin that provides social functionality, especially since the WordPress Plugin Directory offers plenty of alternatives.
My mistake, not major fixes, but final changes. I mean I see some plugins conflict with MH Lite and I dont know if it is because of a theme or a plugin.
However, if the plugin developer is not willing to look into this, you also could simply use a different plugin
You are right.
It is strange for me, but why they wouldn’t do thathttps://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/major-bug-on-a-child-theme?replies=2#post-7747945

Mate, there are thousands of themes and plugins out there and not everything is compatible. In a perfect world every plugin would work on every site. But that’s not the case and in reality this is quite impossible.
If you install several plugins, you are combining 3rd party code from several sources and it’s always possible that some plugins are not compatible with themes, some plugins are not compatible with other plugins or that plugins are not compatible with your server configuration, etc…
It is strange for me, but why they wouldn’t do that
Well, it’s actually quite simple. Don’t forget that you are using FREE themes and plugins here, you haven’t paid a penny for that stuff and even get free support (at least in our case).
But that’s actually not self-evident and people need to earn a living (just like you do) and there are plenty of developers who can’t spend their valuable time supporting a free product – because in reality that also means supporting a lot of people who are not very tech-savvy and don’t know what they are doing – which of course can lead to a lot of issues and support requests.
And that’s absolutely fine. It’s already very nice that developers offer their themes and plugins for free, and if a developer doesn’t want or can’t offer support, it’s fine and needs to be respected. It’s only a problem if people start behaving like if they have paid hundreds of dollars, although they are using a free product…
You are right. But i am only REPORTING in this case.
But if I am newbie I want to be sure, that there is no problems for me in free version. In this case they say it is something to do with a theme. You say it is something to do with plugin. I say I REPORT to both of you and that is all.
I ask only because I dont want to destroy something. For someone who uses a free version of MH Lite is not a bad idea to ask.

Is it possible that older version of plugins could even erase my child-theme and harm my work?
In this case they say it is something to do with a theme.
The PHP notice seems to be related to a function within the plugin that handles a curl request. The theme doesn’t affect this and it’s even possible that the notice is related to your server. But again, that is something you need to discuss with the plugin developer or simply use a different plugin.
Is it possible that older version of plugins could even erase my child-theme and harm my work?
You shouldn’t run outdated code. Updates come for a good reason and if you are using outdated themes or plugins, it’s possible that the old code contains security vulnerabilities or other issues. In other words, always update your themes and plugins, except if you are running an older version for a reason and are absolutely sure what you are doing.
What about incompatibility with Internet Explorer.
In Firefox everything looks OK.
I change fonts with plugin. I added some social buttons.
But in IE there is no change. It looks sad.I think I have to forget about social buttons (there are some javascript error I dont care I use FF). But what about fonts. I can add external font to my theme? Only copy font to ftp directory, and then add a special line in CSS? Is that true?
We’re always happy to help, but unfortunately you’re asking a lot of stuff that actually hasn’t anything to do with our theme. Please notice that this forum is for theme support, not for custom development, plugin support or else…
If you have questions regarding a particular plugin, please contact the plugin developer or check the documentation of the plugin.
If you’re not familiar with coding, you might want to check some of the many tutorials that are available online (e.g. Implementing Google Webfonts) as teaching coding and custom development isn’t covered by the free theme support we can provide here.
In addition, please don’t ask multiple non-related questions in one single thread on the forums here on www.ads-software.com (but open separate threads) because that isn’t helpful at all for other users who might have questions and are looking for help. And for non-theme-related questions you should use the general WordPress support forums and not a theme support forum.
Thanks for your cooperation!
