Some Dashboard Links are Redirecting

    Hi
    One of my Fan Based websites was acting oddly earlier whilst I was in the Dashboard by redirecting to other websites. If I clicked the Live Traffic link in WordFence it would send me to another website. I thought that the Live Traffic link had been moved to WordFence Tools….

    I had also problems making a backup using UpDraftPlus as it wasn’t doing anything when I clicked Backup.

    I have deactivated WordFence and deleted it and restored the database to an earlier version and reinstalled a new version of WordFence and it’s still happening. I have also reinstalled WordPress from the Updates in the Dashboard.

    I have extra web security so thought this should have prevented this but it looks like it hasn’t.

    Any ideas where I can look to find the virus or what else can I do to fix this problem?

    Get a fresh cup of coffee, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.

    It’s ok now as the Dashboard worked in other browsers so had to clear cached images and Files in Google Chrome for over 7 days.

    It is now working again but I don’t understand why that happened. I thought I had a virus or something.
