    Hi,

    I am trying to display the calendar in a widget. I have updated the plugin so that it works with the changes to Google’s calendar, but get the following where the calendar should be displayed:

    Some data was retrieved, but could not be parsed successfully. Please ensure your feed settings are correct.
    BackNext
    No events to display.

    I have:

    • Copied the Google API key from the instructions on the plugin’s website
    • made sure the calendar is set to public
    • Copied the google calendar id into ‘edit feed’ . This is just the email address associated with the google calendar account , apparently.
    • taken the ‘feed id’ and pasted it into the google calendar widget

    How do I solve this, please? Would really appreciate a bit of guidance.

    Hey sorry you are having issues. Sounds like you completed all the right steps so far. Could you provide me a link so I can take a look and try to find out what’s going on?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    I am Also experiencing this bug. My affected page : https://www.worldsocialscience.org/resources/event-calendar/

    Is there anywhere we can see the raw data coming back from the API call to get a better idea of what’s going wrong?

    Thank you for your time and help !

    Robin

    I’ve been experiencing the same problem and goinf through the same routines to fix it. Created a new API Key, Copied it to General Settings under GCAL, vertified the calendar ID (email Address) from Google Calendar, redid the shortcode to reflect the ID in the feed listings.

    The message has changed a bit over time; now it reads, “Some data was retrieved, but could not be parsed successfully. Please ensure your feed settings are correct.” The message is the same on the calendar grid and in the sidebar widget.

    The site is floridasoutherngospel.org Pretty much the sole reason for the site is to offer a regional calendar of events for viewers. Dead in the water now for almost 2 months.

    Thanks!

    The link for my previous comment should be https://www.floridasoutherngospel.org/

    @madlandproject,

    It looks to be an issue with your calendar ID. It probably just got messed up in the update process. Check out the new way to set the ID here:

    @rambler16,

    Just checked your site, did you find a fix – looks like it is working to me. Let me know and I will help with whatever I can.

    @matthewpolld,
