    Hi there,

Some (though there doesn’t seem to be a pattern) of my emails are being queued for 30-40 minutes.

Right now I have 17 in queue, and the oldest is 40 minutes old. There seems to always be something in queue with emails marked as Sent before and after it.

I have a server cron that runs once every 5 minutes. Could this interval be the issue? It’s the only thing I can think of.

Thank you for your help, and please let me know if you need any additional information.

Just an update for folk who may find this in the future…

It turns out that my host mistakenly told me that my server cron was enabled but, upon looking at the Support tab in the Offload SES plugin, I saw that WP Cron was frustratingly still enabled.

I have since switched from WP Cron (which, in my case, is rather overworked and possible held back by certain optimization and caching plugins) to a server cron provided by my hosting provider. Since doing so I no longer have any queue and emails seem to be sending immediately.

I hope this helps. Great plugin, easy to set up, and works flawlessly if your site is set up right!

    Hi there,

I’ve been having the very same issue, that is, emails are being queued. But the only way around this is to use a different plugin.

What you mentioned above doesn’t work, unfortunately.

I’m already running cron in my server every second and I’m still getting queued emails. It’s an intermittent issue, sometimes the emails get stuck in the queue, sometimes they are sent without any delays.
