Some features and a “bug”?

    Hi Folks,
    Thanks for version 1.7 which includes many of the features you and I had previously discussed. Also, I noticed some cleaner php code which is wonderful.

    A few notes:

    1. In archive and single Ad view, there still is no method of hiding the seller’s name. In our opinion, this is an important missing feature for Privacy reasons. In the meantime, I had to hide those with the css display:none… which is a poor workaround.

    2. in single ad view, it would be nice for the Report Abuse link to be optional

    3. In single ad view, it would be nice for the Author photo/icon to be optional. Most Classifieds don’t require this and most people who post classifieds don’t want to upload/display their photo.

    4. The Archive Category Description in the backend allows us to format the description with HTML via the editor. However all html is stripped. It would be beneficial to have the HTML formatting remain. Is this a bug perhaps?

    Continue to improve on this wonderful plugin ??

    UPDATE re above:

    1. I was seeing an old version of the TC Backend option screen. All is well for single view, however, still needed for Archive view

    Thank you for your positive opinion, yes we included your ideas to the latest update and thank you a lot for your patience ??
    Though ask to ignore several of your questions, I will answer anyway just in case for other topic visitors.

    Ad’s author can be hidden on the single ad view by changing the option in TerraClassifieds settings -> https://terraclassifieds.pixelemu.com/settings-and-options/184-advert-view

    Hiding the author on the Archive view is missing, and I already added it to the to-do list.

    Yes, the advertiser photo is optional, not required.

    Archive Category Description editor works in the same way as Post Category editor and does not allow using HTML. It’s not a bug.
    I will add this functionality to the to-do task, however, it will not be a priority to add this in the nearest updates.

    1. I look forward to the fix re: Hiding the author on the Archive view is missing, and I already added it to the to-do list.

    2. Archive Category Description – I see. It’s just that it’s very confusing that when editing a category, an HTML editor allows us to edit the category. However, all text formatted using the tools in the editor get stripped, including line-breaks. Very counter-intuitive and confusing.
