I’m not sure why, majority of files in the site can have the date changed, but there are some where the date field is readonly.

    Any thoughts?

Thanks for your question. I have not seen any issue like this before.

You wrote “there are some where the date field is readonly“. I assume you are referring to the WordPress “Uploaded date” field. There are several places where this field appears. To investigate further I’d like to get more information. Are you using:

    1. The Media/Assistant Quick Edit area?
    2. The Media/Assistant Bulk Edit area?
    3. The Media/Edit Media admin screen “Save” area?

For the affected files, are all three places not working? On the “Edit Media” screen, does the “Edit” link show up at all, show up but not work, or do the changes just not take effect? Are you using any other plugins that might also affect these places?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful. Thanks for your help and your interest in the plugin.

I’m going in to edit the media file, and then using the right-column details to adjust it.

I don’t see a quick edit for media or a bulk edit for media – the only option for bulk is to delete.

    Thanks for your update.

You wrote “I don’t see a quick edit for media or a bulk edit for media“. The WordPress Media/Library screen does not have these features. Only MLA’s Media/Assistant screen has them.

The Bulk Edit area is available by selecting “Edit” in the Bulk Actions dropdown. The Quick Edit area pops up when you click “Quick Edit” on the rollover actions for an item in the table.

I hope that gives you some alternatives to accomplish your task. I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have problems or further questions regarding MLA features to edit the “Uploaded on” date. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

Under bulk actions, I only see delete permanently.

When I roll over media items, I see the options but not Quick Edit.

I see both the edit and quick edit when I go to pages and posts though.

Thanks for your update. It looks like you are describing the WordPress Media/Library screen (in List mode), not the MLA Media/Assistant screen.

If you hover over the “Media” menu entry you should see a list of sub screens including “Library” and “Assistant”. If you do not see “Assistant” then MLA is not active. If you do see “Assistant”, click on it to get to the MLA screen. You will see “Media Library Assistant” at the top of the screen.

Let me know if that helps.

@dglingren that did the trick. I missed the Assistant option. Thank you!
