Some images are not downloading but they are present in the temp dir

Hi,
I have a feed witch sometimes the featured image is not being attached to the feed item.
I have checked and the featured image exists on the original post, after checking the log files I was able to identify the image name and checked that the image was downloaded to my server temp file, but the plugin for some reason I don’t understand is not able to get it from the server, neither is using the fallback image I have set up for posts that don’t have images in this cases.

The image is in fact on the temp folder, so I don’t know what can be wrong, maybe the file name too long?
