    Hi !
Some images in my slider are shown twice. I deleted one of them and replace it with something else, and the copy of the initial one still displays ! Even though there is no additional slide. It only does that for a couple images, and only one slider out of two.

I disabled other sidebar and slideshow plugins, but nothing changed. Do you have any idea of how to fix that ?

    Thanks ??

    Guillaume

  • Hi @guillaummelane

Just an initial guess, but the only thing I can think of is that something is adjusting the visibility of the WP Query and showing slides marked as “trashed”.

You can try to clear those trashed posts out with our other plugin.

I downloaded it, and am running an optimisation right now !

If that helps, just before I deleted all of my slides to create new ones, and after adding one, the three copies that were initally bothering me popped up in their own slides again

    Hi @guillaummelane

If they are still there after you tried to delete them (for example, if you refresh the page) then they were never properly deleted. You would see an error message in the browser console that can hopefully tell you why.

    Hi @guillaummelane

Can you try in an incognito browser window?

    (@guillaummelane)

    No errors
May have to do with the fact that I just deleted all the images 5 minutes ago. I’ll create a new slider and tell you how it goes !

    Hi @guillaummelane

If you deleted the slides and they stayed deleted, then the errors don’t matter right? i.e. everything works?

I asked about incognito as those errors seem to be coming from a browser extension, which might be breaking things.

    (@guillaummelane)

Yep, I’ll just try with a new slider to see whether or not the problem that caused the slides to be copied does does it again, this way we can see if everything really works or if it is indeed is linked to browser extensions ^^

Sorry for having deleted the problematic images before opening the incognito window though

everything fine so far… Bug doesn’t seem to be occurring again ^^

Well, that’s good news! If it happens again let me know.

I’ll mark this as resolved for now, but feel free to reply if needed. By the way, if you’re enjoying MetaSlider please leave us a 5-star review. They really help us out and let others find our plugin more easily. If you don’t think we deserve the 5 stars please let us know how we can improve, too. Thanks!
