We’re using the Twenty Twelve theme at https://martingordon.de. Until last week, all menu items led, as expected, to a relevant page.

Now however, following an update to 4.7.4, the first four entries within the drop-down menu at https://www.martingordon.de/bands function as expected, but the remaining four, beginning with https://martingordon.de/radio-stars/, result in the following message:

    Nothing Found

Apologies, but no results were found. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.

Additionally, the tab in which this message is presented is headed (for example, in the case of the first of the four error-producing menu items, which is called Radio Stars) Radio Stars Archives. This is odd – we have no page called Radio Stars Archives.

To recap – the first four menu items at https://martingordon.de under the menu heading “Bands” work fine, the remaining three produce the above mentioned error message.

We have run various malware scans, but to no avail. We have also duplicated the pages from menu item 4 onwards under other names and re-introduced them into the menu, but still we see the same error message.

Does anyone have any idea about how to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance!

  • Try going to WP admin > Settings > Permalinks. Just visit the page, and then try those URLs again.

If it doesn’t work out try saving on the Permalinks page ( don’t change anything, just save ).

Tried that, but but no joy. Thanks for tip anyway. I wonder if anyone else has any ideas…

I tried adding extra items to other menu headers, in case there was a maximum number of drop-downs available, but that worked as expected. So drop-down items 4, 5 and 6 just don’t work within this one particular menu.

The pages DO exist, of course. But when I go directly to the URL (example: https://martingordon.de/radio-stars/) I get the Apologies message… and no 404 error.

I think the issue is within the pages themselves.

When I edit the pages (within the dashboard/pages), and click View, I get the Apologies error, but when I click Edit, I see the page as expected.

I restored an earlier version in which the functionalities and pages are working as expected. Don’t know what the problem was, though.
