This seems to work really great but I am having two slightly odd excerpts…

    See https://staging.glengarrynews.ca

    1. The first column on the left, has a “Dr.” for Doctor in the sentence, which AE of course takes as the end of a sentence when it’s not.

Maybe we need a little bit of a GREP to ignore a specific set of phrases that have periods in them?

    2. More oddly is the first item on the right-hand column. This appears to have 214 words when my setting only specifies 125 words.

Perhaps it doesn’t play well with UL / LI?

    Any input?

    Hi @dtomasch

    1) Yeah, when it sees a dot (or ? or !) which isn’t surrounded by numbers it assumes it’s the end of the sentence. Will put it on the to do list to allow setting phrases to avoid when looking for the end of the sentence.

    2) That should be because you have it set to finish the sentence so it looks for the dot after the 125 words and ends it there. It doesn’t take into account elements so it doesn’t finish on the end of the list item. Try adding a dot on the the previous list item (just for a test) and let me know what happens.

    1. Thanks! Yes, that would be very helpful.

    2. Oh! Yes, that’s silly of me. I completely failed to notice my bullet points had no periods (dots.) This is probably a edge case but maybe there’s something to add here like, “if you’ve gone past xxx characters, you’ve probably gone too far.”

    Thanks for your help!

    You’re welcome.

    1. I’ve added it to the to do list for next update.

    2. And option for that might be added, can’t say for sure at the moment.
