    Hello,
I have a problem when a person logs in through the social network Vkontakte, he cannot leave a comment, and sees the following message “Some of field value is invalid”.
I noticed that the email address field is empty. And it seems to have an effect.
Another authorization plugin either prescribes an imaginary sniffered address, or you can enable manually specifying a postal address.
This plugin have not settings for the email address to be set manually by the user during authorization.

  • Hello @chernikovva ,
Thanks for reaching out to us.

I can understand that you’re having some issues while commenting after logging in using VK. Since the issue involves several steps, would you please capture the steps to reproduce the issue in a video and share that video with us? So that I can check everything accordingly and let you know an update as soon as possible.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best Regards,

@prosenjitbarman here is a video where I log in where the VK profile does not contain a mailing address.
The site has a vpdiscus plugin enabled which points to a supposedly empty field.
the empty field is the postal address in the profile of the person authorized through VK, the postal address was not taken from the social network, so the field is empty.
If you disable the comments plugin, then the standard comments work fine.
but if you add a setting so that the user manually enters the postal address or something is written there, for example, a number or I don’t know, but so that the field is not empty.

Same thing with Reddit. The profile is created with an empty field of the mailing address, and if you use the wpDiscuz plugin, then the error is the same “field not filled”.

    Hello @chernikovva ,
I hope you’re doing fine. I’m very sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I understood the issue properly. I have checked the default commenting feature of WordPress by logging in using Reddit and found that it is working properly. But, if the default commenting functionality gets replaced by the WPDiscuz plugin, the commenting is not happening properly.

Maybe there is some configuration inside the WPDiscuz plugin that is preventing the commenting to work properly. Will you please check the configurations made inside the WPDiscuz plugin? You can also discuss with the WPDiscuz support regarding this matter.

Also, if you can share the System Info of your site, that’ll be great. You can find that by navigating to Tools > Site Health > Info section. We will also investigate further and if there is anything we need to fix on our end, we will surely do that!

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best Regards,
    Prosenjit
