Some of my filea are corrupted and I have a pop up porn site problem

  • Because of what i think is a security problem, my site was infected (it’s me own fault; I left too many filed wide open). I’ve been advised to reinstall my WP installation.

    I’m wondering if I should simply upload WP 1.5.2 over my current WP 1.5.1.3

    Perhaps I should simply delete my current filed and reinstall using Fantastico. If I do this, can I reinstall my backed up database, which resides on my homecomputer’s desktop.

    BTW: This is the error I get when I try to access my administration screen: “Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_RETURN in /home/peoriap/public_html/blogpeoria/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 120”

    Also, are there sites telling me how to best accomplish these tasks?
