Some of the translated strings didn’t show up

I am using Avada theme and translating some of the English content into Japanese.
Yesterday, I translated “Categories”, “Read More” etc in the backend and the translation did show up yesterday. But when I review the site again, the wording became English.And then I translated “Previous” and “Next” today, the Japanese translation shown up.
Could you advise?
