Some parameters not working as expected

Thanks for the plugin. I’ve gone to your website to view the complete list of parameters. I’m testing with 3 posts (none have a “featured” image – two have images but they are not “featured”.):

The first has no excerpt. The second has its own excerpt (contains a bit of html including a thumbnail img). The third has no excerpt. I wanted to change the text “Continue Reading”. I tried to use excerpt_more but when I use it two things happen:

1- The img (thumbnail size) supplied in my excerpt disappears from the list item. It looks like my excerpt is being ignore completely and the plugin is building its own excerpt as the list item.
2- The text I supply as excerpt_more only appears at the end of the first list item. It does not appear for any subsequent items.

I have experimented with excerpt_more_link but this problem occurs for both true and false.

I have a wrapper of div and am using your example of how to make the thumbnail float left. That works fine (when the img is not removed).

I can’t give you a reference to a page as this site is in production.

Any suggestions?

PS. I am trying to replace an old plugin called “Posts for Page” which has been abandoned by its author. Your plugin is far more extensive in terms of parameters. Now I just have to get them to work together.
