On the blog note above, on Safari (I have several versions, seems like this happens on all of them, but my most used is Safari 15.5 on macOS 12.4 Monterey) the frame of the picture shows up, maybe even the contents for some ms, then the space is left empty.

If I restart Safari it may be ok for a while. (Chrome seems to load ok.)

All the photos are there if I press the empty field. I have tried emptying Safari cache and buffers and WordPress cache as well. No help. Tried to change how the photos are referenced, no help.

    • Photo just after “14.4.1 on a reserved machine!” is problematic.
    • Photo just after “Mac Mini (mid 2010)” is less problematic.
    • Photo to the left of “As said, it runs plain Sierra” seems to always be fine.

All my pages have at some time started to become more or less troubled. Like

where the full width “Fig.1” don’t seem to show up.

  • Your images will be delivered via Jetpack. If necessary, you should deactivate this plugin for a test if the problem occurs again. Otherwise you should ask their support about it.

    Thank you, @threadi!

I pressed “update” on the Jetpack plugin, it then said “Update failed: The plugin is at the latest version”.. (I may have pressed twice..) but so far this seems to have helped!

    Isn’t that strange..

I’ll close this when I know for sure how this goes.

Of course, updating plugins is also useful. But my advice was to deactivate the plugin if the problem occurs again. If you have further questions, you should contact Jetpack support: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack/

I understood that advice, but I thought, perhaps – to try the easiest way first. But since I, if so needed, would go to Jetpack support, I’ll just mark this as resolved here in any case. Thanks!
