Some plugins have failed to update

  • Some plugins have failed to update and now my website has been down for more or 30mins. The plugin that fails to update is the WPBakery Page Builder (from version 6.7.0 to 6.8.0) and I think the updated version is a paid one. How do I fix my website?

    WPBakery has always been a commercial product: there’s no officially-distributed free version. But it’s also commonly licensed to commercial theme vendors who bundle it with their own commercial themes.

    So if you have an older version installed but you never paid for a license yourself, chances are it came with a commercial theme you have installed. In that case, you’ll have to contact your theme’s vendor for the latest version of the WPBakery plugin, as the WPBakery developers will only support license holders.
