Some posts randomly reset to 0 stars

  • Quite often one or more of my posts will show 0 stars for the overall rating. To fix it I have to edit the post, select a different rating, then set the correct rating and finally, update the post.

    It’s incredibly frustrating because I never know when it has happened unless I happen to view an affected post.

    Eventually, I plan to find another alternative but am not looking forward to removing the shortcodes from 100+ old posts.

  • I think the update fixed the issue of randomly erasing stars ratings every so often, however, now that I have to go back and re-add the HTML to my post for each one, its not saving some of them- nor does it show the exact numbered rating (ie 4.5 Stars) when I choose how many stars to give them.

    For example, in my post, I add the Stars HTML and choose Large – then I choose 4.5 stars. For whatever reason, I go to preview my post and the stars are all blank. Then, when I go back to the post to adjust it, if I click the stars around a bunch, and keep clicking 4.5, it seems to finally save them, and it will appear proper in my post. Any advice?

    I’m still having random posts showing 0 stars, regardless of what the actual overall rating is set to.

    I’m now dedicated to looking for a simple stars rating alternative as this problem has been going on for months with no change.
