Since the new update of woocommerce (8.7.0) stock management seems to be off.
When having turned on “don’t display sold out variants/products in woocommerce, some products that are actually in stock are listed as outofstock.
To be precise: Nearly every product has a color and a size. If Product X has the colors green and white and the sizes s and m that would be 4 variants. Lets say m is sold out in both colors. Before the update option m would have not been displayed anymore. This still happens correctly.
Say Option S is availyable in both white and green; now in the front-end the colors (green and white) will be shown, but the option s will not be shown. Customers therefore cannot buy either of the two products in stock.

When using the inspector on our website below the colors of “Moosstab XL – B-Ware” there would be a buttons saying for example “Giesshilfe” but in inspector it says data-stock-status=”outofstock” and therefore won’t be shown.

    Hello plantme

    Thanks for contacting WooCommerce support.

To assist you more effectively, could you please provide a link to the affected product on your website? This will help me to directly observe the issue you’re encountering on the front end.

Additionally, a screenshot of the backend after editing the product would be incredibly helpful. I want to see how the variants are set up in your stock management settings.

This will aid in diagnosing precisely where the problem might be and determine why the size ‘S’ is not displayed to customers despite its stock availability.

Once I have this additional information, I’ll be able to move forward with finding a solution. ??

    Best regards.

    Hi @doublezed2

Thanks so much for the reply.

Please try the following link: https://plantme-store.de/produkt-kategorie/sale/
When inspecting in the browser you can see:

We are using code to hide options that are not in stock or active.

Attribute “Gie?hilfe” is in stock but is shown as out of stock, therefore won’t be displayed.

Attributes are created by using the attributes tab, not manually in the product. As you can see: “Schwarz” (engl. Black) and “Gie?hilfe” are in stock and active.

Expected behaviour would be, that “Gie?hilfe” (and some other attributes) would be in stock, and therefore shown in the frontend.

With this error multiple products are affected, not only this single one. This happened after updating Woocommerce. I have not updated any other plugin at the same time.

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

    Best regards.

    Hello plantme

    Thank you for your reply.

I checked the product that you shared with me and I found that the default WooCommerce dropdown options are working fine. I modified the HTML using the browser’s inspect tool.

This suggests that the problem lies either with the custom code that you are using to hide options or with the plugin responsible for modifying the appearance of variation options.

Could share a screenshot of your custom code?
Our support policy does not cover custom code but I will be happy to have a look at it.

I’d also like to review your site’s System Status Report.
You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Once you’ve done that, you can paste the text in https://gist.github.com
After that, you can paste the Gist link here in your reply.

I look forward to your reply. ??

    Best regards.

    Hi @doublezed2

I actually thought this was a setting native to woocommerce, since the setting for displaying the options as buttons is in the tab attributes:

If its not native to woocommerce, it probably is part of out theme Botiga.
The custom code is just some added CSS:

    Hello plantme

    Thank you for your reply.

This is not a core feature of the WooCommerce.
It looks like this is part of your Botiga theme.
One way to make sure is by switching the theme to a default theme like Storefront and disabling the custom CSS.

I suggest contacting Botiga theme support for more insights into this issue.
They might have a solution for this.

Let me know as soon as you have heard back from them. ??

    Best regards.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Hi,
    I have the same issue:
A few product variations are missing. In my case, some shoe sizes are missing although they are in the backend.
    I have tried the following

    • revolve back to standard theme
    • deactivated all plugins
    • Cleare cache of permalinks
    • delete all product variations that are not “enabled” (from posts above)
    • changed the metabox data limit up to 100 based on this information.

My impression is that the number of options shown in the size drop-down is limited to 6 entries. When I added a size and reordered in the backend, it appeared in the options menu on the frontend, but another size disappeared.

Alle sizes 34 to 42 should be available, but 35 and 42 are missing.
