3 of my products have not synced to my Facebook catalogue when my Facebook for Woocommerce plugin was installed and set up for me (by someone else).

One of the products has Attributes such as navy/pink, navy/green. Is it possible that the ‘/’ is the reason?

If so, and once I’ve changed this, should I create a new catalog to hopefully pull through correctly and then delete the original catalog?
    Thanks

  • Hey @mudmates,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I’m not aware of a limitation that would prevent attributes with a “/” from syncing to Facebook, so I think there may be another issue at play here. Could you tell me a little more about the products that aren’t syncing?

    • Are any of these products Virtual?
    • Do they all have the Facebook Sync setting set to “Sync and show in catalog”?
    • Do any of these products belong to a category or have a tag that’s excluded from sync in the WooCommerce > Facebook > Product Sync settings?

To your other question, though, you should not need to delete the catalog after making changes to these products – the plugin will automatically attempt to sync those products upon saving.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Cheers!

Thanks for your quick reply Lindsey.

    Ok, that’s good to know!

    The 3 products not syncing:
    – are NOT virtual
    – yes, they all have the setting set to Sync and show in catalog
    – I don’t have any tags under ‘exclude from sync’

I did find an ‘&’ sign in the meta description for 2 of the products, but I removed this several days ago and that hasn’t helped either.

Would love your help further on this please!
    Thanks so much

    P.S.
I am also getting this error message when I make any updates to my products in Woocommerce:

    Facebook for WooCommerce error:
Unsupported post request. Object with ID ‘1969826549810964’ does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api

    Thanks

    Hey @mudmates,

    Thanks for following up!

Are the products that are not syncing standard, simple products? Do they have all a price set in WooCommerce?

The “Unsupported post request” error that you’re seeing typically points to an issue where the product was deleted from the Facebook catalog – so Facebook for WooCommerce is trying to update a product that doesn’t exist in the catalog anymore. Could you please try clicking the Delete product on Facebook button in the Facebook meta box?

Then, when you update and save the product, it will be included in the next Facebook sync. That way the Facebook product and WooCommerce product will be linked up again.

    Cheers!

    Hi Lindsey

The products are all variable products, all with prices set in Woocommerce.

The Coveralls have different colours and size attributes.
The personalised Swim Bags and Wet Bags have different colour attributes and also uses Extra Product Options so customers can enter a name to be personalised on the bag, plus a colour for the name.

All 3 of these products used to sync to Facebook, prior to the recent uninstall/reinstall and update to V2 which was completed for me by a marketing manager.

I have deleted all 3 products from Facebook as you said, updated the product and have clicked ‘sync products’ under Product Sync.
However, they are still not showing in my catalog.

For Coveralls, this is an example of what is showing. There are no ID numbers for each of the variations.
    Facebook ID: 3608064282558066
    Variant IDs:
    8142:
    1808:
    1810:
    1811:
    11429:
    1812:
    11428:
    707:
    708:

I’ve checked the products that are syncing correctly and there is an ID number listed for all the variants.

    Thanks

    Hey @mudmates,

    Thanks for following up!

At this point, I’d like to take a look at how those specific products are setup in WooCommerce, and then the logs for the Facebook for WooCommerce product sync. Could you please contact us directly so we can securely exchange credentials for your WooCommerce site?

    Thank you!

Thanks Lindsay, I have competed the enquiry form as directed. I look forward to hearing from you further.

    Hey @mudmates,

Thank you! To help me find your request, do you know about when you sent it, or could you share the email you sent it from? I didn’t notice anything in our queue this morning that looked to be sent by you, but I could have missed it!

    Thank you,
    Lindsey

    Hi Lindsey
I’ve had a reply from Steve and have added Skyverge as admin to my Woocommerce site.
    Thanks

    Hey @mudmates,

Ah, excellent! I’ll go ahead and close this conversation out, then, and let Steve take it away ??

    Cheers!
