• On some users I see a Log Out From Everywhere button and some I don’t. Is this behavior working as intended or is there an issue with some users?

Meaning, does WordPress ONLY show this if the user is currently logged in?

I am talking about the Log Out button on the User Profile page in the backend of WordPress.

    When it is present:
    Account Management
    New Password Generate Password
    Sessions
    Log Out Everywhere Else
Did you lose your phone or leave your account logged in at a public computer? You can log out everywhere else, and stay logged in here.

    User Enrolled Courses

    User without
    Account Management
    New Password Generate Password
    User Enrolled in Courses

    Hi @iillc,

The “Log Out From Everywhere” option only shows when there are “active” sessions for a user account.

You can probably assume that if the button is visible, you can assume they’re logged in somewhere.

A logged in session might not actually be in use however, it doesn’t mean that the users web browser is still open, it doesn’t mean that the cookies are still on the computer, etc. It just means that the user hasn’t specifically logged out and that the session hasn’t yet timed out (how long that takes depends on if they checked the ‘remember me’ option when logged in).

    Thanks for that info!
