[Plugin: RelatedPosts] Some questions about this new update…

Hi!
This new plugin is very nice with a lot of new cool features.
Tough I have some questions:
1. About what criteria is the plugin showing related posts?
The old one uses tags, of witch I had control, and figured out what posts to be related to other, but now there are some posts witch are showing in the related list that doesn’t seem related to me…
2. Is there an option in the new plugin to control witch posts to be related?
3. There are some new features, about I could not find too much information in the read me, like statistics and theme implementation. There is only mentioned they requires third party services. Does it mean Google statistics and a responsive theme design?
