some ressource usage problems with perl

    my root server got extremely slow and upon investigation I found 2 perl processes using up all my CPU and swap space, checked the owner of that process and it turns out it belongs to a website where WordPress is running so it looks like some plugin is using perl.

    all themes and plugins are up to date so how do I figure out which plugin is using perl?

    any hints?

    turns out one my sites was using an outdated timthumb.php version and got hacked.
    case closed.
